Bob Knowlton's career included 13 years as a broadcast newsman, anchor, news director, talk show moderator, reporter, and interviewer at broadcast stations in Houston, Dallas, and San Francisco. He also served as a professional on-camera and voiceover presenter in approximately 2,400 corporate television programs.
In 1974, at the request of Shell Oil Co., Bob and several other media professionals in Houston created the first of what has become a routine part of every corporate leader's training, the media relations seminar. He helped thousands of executives, managers and professionals to handle interviews and deal with the news media safely and productively, and was a professional consultant to senior corporate management for over 25 years.
Bob developed Advanced Leadership Communication in 1995 to address a pressing need for strategic communication to drive corporate change.
Joe Tidwell has worked with leaders at all levels, from senior executives to front-line managers, to leverage communication to achieve breakthrough results. A former Marine Corps officer with a degree in Philosophy and Classical Studies from Texas A&M University, Joe brings a valuable blend of hands-on experience and theoretical background to his work.
Joe has helped leaders integrate Advanced Leadership Communication as part of large-scale initiatives across a wide spectrum of public and private organizations, including oil and gas, engineering and construction, urban public school systems, and non-profits.
Joe became president of Advanced Leadership Communication, LLC, in January, 2009. He lives in Boerne, Texas with his wife Sharon, their twin daughters and a son.
Anshuman Desai joined Advanced Leadership Communication after 28 years of experience in the Manufacturing, Engineering and Technology sectors.
Immediately prior to joining ALC, Anshuman was President & CEO of Apex Technology, an engineering and manufacturing services concern headquartered in Houston, TX. Anshuman's consulting experience includes: Business Development, Change Management, Focused Factories, International Business Collaboration, Negotiations, Project Management, and Six Sigma.
Anshuman has been an active member of Houstons Minority Business Council, the Indo American Chamber of Commerce, Vistage (formerly TEC), and various political action committees and social organizations. He also currently serves on the the board of Chinmaya Mission Houston and is involved with various social organizations in the Indo-American community.
Brandon Neff specializes in helping business and public sector leaders achieve transformational results through the development of effective leadership messages.
As an Air Force officer, Brandon supported military operations in Afghanistan, Iraq and Africa and was named Air Force Special Operations' Intelligence Officer of the Year in 2003. Upon completion of his military service, Brandon pursued his Master's of Public Policy at Harvard University where he concentrated on Negotiations and Internal Management.
Before joining Advanced Leadership Communication, Brandon held a number of civilian leadership and staff positions within the Department of Defense, where he crafted leadership messages for General officers, rolled-out change management initiatives, and led the creation of a new office. Brandon currently resides in San Antonio, TX.
